Final MAS module starting May 1st: MAS ETH in Regenerative Systems
The ETH program «Designing Resilient Regenerative Systems» (DRRS) is a holistic learning journey at the intersection of science, engineering, design, art, embodied practice, and inner processes. We humans, as part of living systems, learn how to (non)intervene from within, as part of, complex systems, where leading science and engineering, systemic design, artistic approaches, real-world lab practice, bioregional weaving, and inner resilience building are intrinsically interwoven.

The DRRS programme contains the MOOC series and the MAS in Regenerative Systems offered by externe Seite Systemic Design Labs⎟ETH Zurich, together with regenerative practice partner externe Seite MonViso Institute.
The learning journey scales deep and out, from social-ecological systems science, to community resilience, to AI, to hemp bio-composites, to passive net-positive architecture, to bioregional cross-governance scale design, to living systems labs creation, to building organic emergence as a practice of the inner self - the capacity to befriend uncertainty. The experiential, embodied didactics of this program, co-designing as part of real-world labs, the nudging to experience types of flow through outdoor (sport) embodiments for building organic emergence, benefit from mountain guiding training and practice. This MAS is unique as well through enabling such a holistic, self-reflective program at and from within a leading academic institution, benefiting from its academic rigour and knowledge base.
This summer, we will run the first iteration of the full executive MAS, with the first MAS alumni expected by September ‘25. The next opportunity to enrol in the MAS program is with the next CAS Sustainability to Regeneration.
Until then, we invite you to join us in one of the upcoming DRRS community talks, live conversations, and start one of the first two MOOCs.
The chair of Sustainable Construction intends to embed sustainability in all aspects of the built environment. For more information, please visit our website.
