The Chair of Sustainable Construction presented at Net-Zero Future 2024 conference

Dr. Anastasija Komkova, Jianxiang Ma and Büsra Bostanci presented their latest research findings during the 1st International Conference on Net-Zero Built Environment: Innovations in Materials, Structures, and Management Practices.

Dr. Anastasija Komkova presented a study «Urban Waste Recycling: A multi-objective Approach for Sustainable Construction in European Regions» carried out within the scope of the European research project external page AshCycle. The study focuses on the multi-sectoral environmental and economic benefits associated with optimized supply chains for recycling waste-to-energy ashes into construction materials.

As part of his doctoral research, Jianxiang Ma presented «Emission-based Relocation Strategies for Mobile Prefabrication Factories», a study focused on the optimization of transportation emissions of prefabricated infrastructure components for Hyperloop construction.

Büsra Bostanci presented her work «REVERT Framework: Stakeholder Perspective to Enable Circular Transformation of Construction Industry», which identifies success factors to measure stakeholder collaborations within Circular Economy strategies at micro, meso and macro levels.
