History

An assistant professor position for sustainable construction has been founded in 2006 in the Institute of Construction and Infrastructure Management at ETH through a generous support of the Holcim Foundation. Prof. Dr. Holger Wallbaum led the chair from 2006 to 2012.

Starting August 1st 2012, a permanent chair of sustainable construction has been created with the help of the ETH foundation and the company LafargeHolcim (legacy Holcim). Since then Prof. Dr. Guillaume Habert is head of this chair .
