Dr. Dimitra Ioannidou joined the Chair of Sustainable Construction

Dr. Dimitra Ioannidou joined the Chair of Sustainable Construction in January. Dimitra did her PhD at the Chair on the topic “On sustainability aspects through the prism of stone as a material for construction” (2016).

Following her PhD, she was awarded an early post-doc mobility fellowship from SNF and continued her research on construction resources at the University of Bordeaux and the University of California, Santa Barbara.

In addition to working for the Chair, she is a Project Manager at the ecoinvent association, which manages and publishes one of the largest Life Cycle inventory databases worldwide.

Dimitra’s background lies in Civil Engineering, with a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (2006) and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Stanford (2008). Prior to her PhD, she worked for several years in the construction sector.
